About Nata

Nata is a Nigerian bill payment app. You fund one wallet by bank transfer and use it for data, airtime, electricity, TV, exam PINs, betting wallets, gift cards, crypto, travel eSIMs and CAC registration, on the web, on Android and iOS, or over WhatsApp and Telegram. Every price is shown before you pay, and a purchase that fails is refunded to your wallet automatically.

What Nata does

Most Nigerians pay for the same things every month: data, airtime, light, TV, the odd exam PIN or betting top-up. Nata puts them on one balance so you fund once and pay everywhere, at prices that update live on this site. Beyond the everyday bills it adds the things that are harder to do safely elsewhere: selling gift cards and crypto for naira at a fixed on-screen rate, travel eSIMs paid in naira, business registration with the CAC, and Offline Data, which lets a phone with ₦0 airtime buy data by making a call.

How the money moves

When you open an account you get a dedicated account number issued through our banking partner, PalmPay. Anything you transfer to it lands in your Nata wallet within a minute, and bank withdrawals from your gift card or crypto balance are paid out through the same partner, only to an account in your own name. Bills are fulfilled through licensed providers: electricity, TV and exam PINs through VTpass, crypto custody through Quidax, a Nigerian exchange with SEC approval, and eSIM profiles through a global eSIM wholesaler. Data and airtime come straight from the networks' reseller channels, which is why 1GB costs ₦357 here instead of the ₦1,000 a bank USSD code charges.

How refunds work

Every purchase is either delivered or reversed. If a network, DisCo or provider rejects an order, the transaction shows as failed and the full amount goes back to your Nata wallet automatically, usually within minutes, with no ticket to raise. Gift card and crypto sales that are declined at review are reversed the same way. A CAC registration that cannot be completed is refunded in full. If anything shows as pending for more than 30 minutes, send the reference from your transaction history to support and it is traced with the provider.

How your account is protected

Signing in on a new device needs a one-time code sent to your email. Every purchase, transfer and withdrawal needs your 4-digit transaction PIN, which is never typed into WhatsApp or Telegram: chat purchases are confirmed on a secure nata.ng page with a link that expires in 10 minutes. Nata staff never ask for your PIN or OTP.

Who builds it

Nata is built in Nigeria by Natasco Technology and has been live since 2022. The same team runs the Nata Developer API, which lets other apps sell data, airtime and exam PINs, and NataAgent, a ready-made VTU business for resellers. Questions, press and partnerships: contact us.

How do I contact Nata?

On WhatsApp, Telegram, email or the chat inside the app. See the contact page for every channel and our support hours (24).

Yes. The Nata Developer API at api.nata.ng sells data, airtime and exam PINs to your own app, and NataAgent at agent.nata.ng gives you a branded VTU business.
