Buy Airtime & Data with AI: Connect Claude, ChatGPT or Grok to Your Nata Account

Pay bills by just asking
If you already chat with Claude, ChatGPT or Grok, you can give it your Nata wallet as a tool. Ask in plain words and it buys for you, at the same prices as the Nata app:
You: "Buy 1GB MTN data for 08012345678"
AI: "MTN 1GB for ₦402. Confirm it with your PIN on this nata.ng link: nata.ng/wa/c/…"

- Ask "what's my Nata balance?" to check it worked.
Claude
Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, paste the link, click Connect and sign in. It then works in Claude on the web, desktop and phone.
ChatGPT
Settings → Connectors (on some plans you first turn on Developer mode under Advanced) → Create. Paste the link, choose OAuth, save and sign in.
Grok
Go to grok.com/connectors → New connector → Custom, paste the link and sign in.

Is it safe?
- 🔒 You sign in on nata.ng, not in the chat. The AI app never sees your password; it only gets a key to your account.
- 🔢 Nothing is paid without your PIN. Every purchase, transfer and withdrawal opens a one-time nata.ng page where you check the order and type your PIN yourself. The assistant never asks for it, and the link works once and expires after 10 minutes.
- 🚪 Disconnect any time by logging out of the Nata app, or by removing the connector in your AI app.
The assistant also can't change your password or PIN, or delete your account. Those stay in the Nata app.
Frequently asked questions
Do I pay extra for using AI?
No. You pay exactly what you would pay in the app or on the website.
Can I upload a gift card photo in the chat?
AI apps can't pass your photos on to Nata, so the assistant gives you a nata.ng link and you upload the photos there, straight from your gallery or files.
What if my balance is too low?
Ask the assistant for your funding accounts. It shows your personal bank account numbers; transfer to one and your wallet updates within about a minute.
Does logging in to the Nata app disconnect it?
No. Logging out of the Nata app does, which is the quickest way to disconnect every AI assistant at once.
